About us

Our Story

Second2None Saddlery was born at Coopers Farmhouse in HorsePath, Oxford where I lived in 1995.

I had a huge passion for horses and riding as a child, which developed in to a lifetime career.

From working at our local Racing Stables at Tunworth and attending the prestigious Goodwood Racing Training School, to producing Polo Ponies with Hi Goal Player Anthony Hayden Taylor at Ashe Park in Steventon.

I trained with a Hermitage based Show Jumper then continued my training at Langshot Equestrian centre where I developed my teaching skills in the Riding School and trained up to Intermediate Instructor Level.

I now have over 25 years experience Showing at County and national level, producing my own horses and ponies from 11hh Ponies to Riding Horses. Retraining Ex Racehorses and our latest project Annie who is a 5 year old 158cm Small Hunter.

We have an excellent history of sucess with even the most difficult of horses and have staff available for tuition, Rider Confidence sessions and Schooling for any problems big or small which we may be able to help you with.

Second2None Saddlery began when I turned our huge utility room in to a tack shop to sell my mountains of unused Saddlery collected over many years. Little did I know that within 12 months it was to grow in to something really special.

I built an incredible relationship with our local community, providing quality preloved saddlery, part exchanges, swaps and regular sales in our local Village Hall.

I was known by all, trusted by everyone and built a sucessful business known and respected by all of my clients!

After 10 years following a Career in the Police Force, Second2None was relocated to Egham, in Surrey, where we now live.

The business has now expanded to include a Mobile Tack Shop open 24/7 selling Riding wear and quality Saddlery and rugs, a new Website where all our stock is regularly updated and available for immediate purchase and quartely Tack Sales at the Jurgen Centre in Englefield Green, which are always very popular and sell out fast ! Book early!

“Let your daughters grow up to be horse girls.
Let her room be messy and her clothes be torn. Let her Stables be spotless and her horses shine. Let her be first up in the morning and the last in from outdoors at night. Let her forget breakfast and skip dinners and have flat sandwiches on white bread, gripped in dirty hands. Let her horse share the sandwiches.
Let the kids at school call her 'horse girl' as an insult and let her screen saver tell them she accepts the name with pride. Let her miss class for a show. Let her miss a show for the vet. Let her cry when she wins and cry when she loses. Let her make best friends and make worst enemies and fall off and get back on and fall off again. Let her be the one they put on the crazy ponies. Let her ride every day. Then let her have a second horse. And a third.
And when the going gets rough, let yourself relax. Horse girls become horsewomen and horsewomen don't give up!!!!”
